Will WLCRS change anything on our network? +
No — and this is by design. WLCRS is strictly read-only. It uses a limited monitoring account on your Cisco 9800 controllers and never pushes configuration, never reboots access points, and never writes anything back to the network. You can verify this at any time by reviewing the account permissions.
Does any of our data leave the building? +
No. WLCRS runs entirely on a virtual machine inside your own network. Every metric, every alert, every historical record is stored on your infrastructure. The only outbound traffic is the alert notifications you explicitly configure — email or Telegram, to destinations you control.
Which Cisco wireless controllers does WLCRS support? +
WLCRS is purpose-built for the Cisco Catalyst 9800 family — hardware controllers (9800-L, 9800-40, 9800-80, CW9800M) and the virtual 9800CL. It works with any reasonably modern controller software version, and we'll confirm compatibility during the initial assessment.
How deep does WLCRS go beyond standard wireless monitoring? +
WLCRS goes significantly beyond the data available through standard monitoring interfaces. It surfaces controller health detail that standard tools miss entirely — including which internal process is overloaded when CPU is high, the exact reason each client session ended (across 300+ possible causes), and the precise failure reason for every access point that has gone offline or won't rejoin. This is the data your team would normally need a TAC escalation call to retrieve.
How does WLCRS compare to what we already have from Cisco? +
Complementary, not a replacement. Cisco's own management platforms are excellent for provisioning, policy, and lifecycle management. WLCRS fills a different role: continuous wireless intelligence, operator-level alerting, long-term history, and deep diagnostics that surface problems before users complain. Most of our customers run WLCRS alongside their existing Cisco tooling — the two work well together.

WLCRS is developed and supported from Belgrade, Serbia. We serve customers across Serbia, the broader Balkans region, and the European Union. Deployment is performed remotely — no travel required in most cases.
